The Correlation Between Loneliness and Academic Procrastination Among Psychology Students at State University of Malang

One of the problems that often occurs when completing a thesis is academic procrastination. This can result in delayed graduation, which not desirable our education system. Loneliness affect students’ performance. Globally, loneliness has been increasing as COVID-19 pandemic. Students who are working on their vulnerable to loneliness. research aimed determine whether there correlation between and procrastination among psychology students thesis. used descriptive quantitative methods, data were obtained from online questionnaires distributed 55 at State University Malang. Participants recruited through convenience sampling. The instruments two modified scales: Scale created by de Jong-Gierveld Kamphuls (α = 0.796) [1] Academic Procrastination McCloskey Scielzo 0.905) [2]. analyzed with Pearson Product Moment test. results showed was weak but significant positive (r 319; p < 0.05). Most subjects had moderate level procrastination.
